Charming Studio in Maidstone Town Centre

Positive: Localização otima. Studio espaçoso, bem funcional! Negative: O banheiro tinha muito cabelo e a internet estava ruim, dava pra escutar a conversa dos vizinhos! Mas nada que tira a privacidade e o sossego!

Not great, especially the sewer gas smell in the bathroom and low water pressure Positive: I give them high marks for the location and quietness of the building. Once you go online to their specific website to pay for your stay prior to your arrival the codes to the front door and your room are provided quickly. Negative: There were multiple things that were very disappointing: 1. When I opened the bathroom door it smelled like a sewer. This "sewer gas" smell lingered for most of the stay (or else I just got used to it). The connection between toilet and the sewer pipe was just a flexible plastic tube which likely accounted for the retched smell. 2. The kitchen area had very basis cooking and eating equipment. I could not find a bowl anywhere which made eating cereal and soup very difficult. The utensil selection consisted of a couple of mismatched spoons, knives and forks, along with a few plastic larger cooking utensils, and some of the metal utensils looked corroded. The frying pan and pots had baked-on grease and I could not find an oven-proof pan to cook a lasagna in the oven. The table for eating is some sort of complex wooden structure that I was afraid to pull out. 3. The damage deposit that they asked for was very large (2/3rds of the cost of my entire stay) and they do not provide clear communication about when they have released/returned this deposit after your stay. 4. The WiFi is basic and even though there is a smart TV good luck streaming due to interruptions and pixelation. You can do e-mail and other basic functions but the TV streaming is not good. 5. The water pressure is really low. If you flushed the toilet you had to wait to get enough water flow in the sink to wash your hands. Similarly filling up the kettle or washing dishes was a very slow process. Needless to say, I was not pleased with the comfort of this place and I will not be returning despite the great location.

The apartment contains everything you need for a short stay. Positive: Proximity to the town centre. The apartment is facing the quiet side. I had peaceful stay, slept good, no noise from outside Negative: Unfortunately the walls of the apartment are so thin so that you are able to hear the voices from the next door neighbours . Oops!
